Affirmative has been providing internet solutions to businesses in the Golden Horseshoe and not-for-profit organizations across North America for over ten years.
Our continuing growth has created the need for a Junior ASP.NET Web Developer who will be part of the team that supports the ongoing development of our volunteer management software, Volunteer Impact and Volunteer Umbrella (see www.volunteer2.com); and the creation of custom data driven websites for our corporate clients.

Required Qualifications:
 |
Minimum 2 years development experience with VB.NET / ASP.NET.
|
|
Solid experience with Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008 (1-2 yrs). |
|
Excellent working knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc).
|
|
Experience with large SQL Server 2000/2005 databases.
|
|
Ability to troubleshoot and effectively communicate with clients who have limited computer knowledge.
|
|
Able to collect requirements from clients and develop timelines and cost estimates.
|
Additional Assets:
|
Experience with Classic ASP (VBScript) and VB6/COM+.
|
|
Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services (2000 or 2005). |
|
Experience working on a multi-lingual/localized web application. |
|
Experience with an ASP.NET-based AJAX framework.
|
|
Experience with ASP.NET 3.5 technologies such as LINQ. |
